This is a week late, but in the spirit of the Fourth of July, here are some inspiring quotes about Democracy from two of America’s founding fathers:

“In England, if elections were open to all classes of people, the property of the landed proprietors would be insecure. … [America should be designed to] protect the minority of the opulent against the majority.” – James Madison

“Their very character was tyranny; their figure deformity.” – Alexander Hamilton, describing ancient democracies.

I found the quotes in “Making The American Dream A Reality” by Charles Davis on Russell Brand’s BrandX blog. I have no idea who Russell Brand is. He has some sort of TV show.
