Best Newspaper Parody Ever

In 1978, the National Lampoon humor magazine published a brilliant parody of small-town newspapers by P. J. O’Rourke and John Hughes. It was just like a real newspaper (tabloid size, newsprint, sections.) I’ve had one gathering dues in the archives, so I decided to cut-and-paste some of the best parts for your perusal. Warning: Some of it would now be considered “politically incorrect,” however it is representative of the edgier humor of the era.

  1. This made me smile. I remember hearing about the National Lampoon magazine, it’s a shame it went out of print though.
